Description

Cultivar: SPEkrien'Fairy Queen', a sport of 'The Fairy', is a beautiful spreading miniature rose. It attains a height of 2 to 3 feet and covers itself with clusters of bead-like buds that open to dark pink to red, apple-scented blooms. It flowers almost continuously throughout the summer, each double bloom boasting 24 to 30 petals and measuring 1 inche across.Because of 'Fairy Queen's diminutive size, it's perfect as a groundcover as well as being absolutely stunning in a mass planting, adorning a hedge, or spilling over the sides of a pot or tub. And with its beautiful glossy, light green foliage, it's attractive even during those rare summer days that it's not in bloom! This rose is tolerant of poorer soils and can cope with some shade.
