Rabbits, deer, and other nibbling critters find this plant distasteful, so it is a good choice for open gardens and meadow settings.

Description

Wonderful for cutting and breathtaking in a large garden planting.

Two-tone blooms of light pink and lavender crowd along tall purple stems, beckoning to butterflies and bees, while the gray-green foliage releases its spicy Sage aroma whenever it is touched.

Very tolerant of heat, humidity, and drought once established in the garden, this is a fine choice for xeriscape landscapes, and does not need much soil amendment beyond the first season.

Begins blooming in late spring, its long flowerspikes bringing the plant's height to about 2 feet. It continues through early summer.,
