Categories: Vine

Zone:  3-4-5-6-7-8-9

Height:

The effect is crisp and clean, particularly against the bright green foliage.

Description

Dazzling White Flowers All Summer! Crisp 6- to 7-inch blooms. New foliage is deep bronze.  The single daisy-shaped blooms are fully 6 to 7 inches across, with a dark center and a creamy ""crease"" or two up the center of each petal.  Blooms all summer, with the heaviest flush early in the season.

Easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established, they take a season or two to get going. Henryi is a Group II Clematis for pruning purposes, which means that in early spring you should cut back the vine 6 or 8 inches to the nearest pair of strong leaf axil buds. Zones 3-9."
