Description

Lady Elsie May? is a 2005 All American Rose Selection, and it's easy to see why! This gorgeous shrub rose boasts 4-inch coral pink blooms that open from deep rosy, coral-colored buds, each sporting a crown of golden stamens in the center. These semi-double blooms arrive in clusters from spring through autumn, scenting your garden with a delicate rose fragrance. Its prolific bloom is outdone only by the lush, waxy green foliage that remains on the shrub throughout the growing season, demonstrating its wonderful disease resistance.Lady Elsie May? reaches a height of about 36 inches and a width of 24 inches, making it an equally superb choice for containers as for beds, borders, and hedges. It's proven itself extremely durable as a landscaping rose, bringing fountains of color to both commercial and residential plantings, while tolerating a wide range of environmental stresses. This vigorous rose grows best in full sun and needs regular watering, weekly, or more often in areas of extreme heat ? to establish an extensive root system. It needs to be protected from excessive cold over the first winter. If you're planting it as a groundcover, space the plants about 3 feet apart. Prune it to shape in early spring.
